Talking about paranormal investigations isn’t easy—it’s like trying to explain why you’re drawn to the dark without sounding unhinged. But on The Flying Chariots - The Rise Podcast, I got to dig into the roots of my work with Operation Geist and why I’ve spent my life peering into the unknown.
Growing up in upstate New York, where unmarked graves outnumber the living, I had an early encounter with the supernatural. My “imaginary friend” turned out to be a real spirit buried near my home, which was a chilling revelation but one that led me straight to investigating the paranormal. It wasn’t fear that drove me but an endless curiosity about what lies beyond our normal perception.
On the podcast, I discussed how Ava, and I work together. Paranormal investigation isn’t just EMF meters and night vision—it’s a balancing act of intuition and technology. Ava’s our sensitive, tuned into every energy shift, while I’m focused on hard evidence. It’s how Operation Geist operates: everything we gather is dissected, debunked if necessary, and always questioned. We’re not in this to believe every shadow or flash is “proof”; we’re here to document and understand the unknown, even if that means discovering natural explanations.
One of the coolest parts of our talk was digging into the science of it all—how quantum entanglement and interconnected energy might explain some of what we encounter. I’m a fan of Lyall Watson’s theories, so for me, the paranormal isn’t just a bunch of ghost stories. It’s about the science we haven’t caught up to yet, the hidden connections that bind everything together. UFOs, cryptids, ghosts—they’re all tied into this web we barely understand.
When people ask if I get scared, the answer is yes. I’ve learned to respect the weight of these places—places like Salem or abandoned asylums that are soaked with pain and history. You walk in asking spirits to reveal themselves; don’t be surprised if you leave feeling like you’re carrying something extra. This work requires respect for the stories, patience, and a willingness to listen to what’s beyond the veil.
For those who want to dive into this world, my advice is simple: stay original. Don’t chase fame or try to be the “star.” The most powerful tool is a deep respect for the unknown.
